Chastain Coaching staff

David Stolle is the Managing Partner of Chastain Park and Junior Coordinator

David is a 1995 graduate of the University of Virginia, where he earned a degree in psychology and a minor in religious studies. He played #1 singles and doubles his senior year, and also served as Team Captain.
David leads Chastain Park Tennis Center as well as manages our College Placement program.

 
Kenyon Generette-Oliver is a Managing Partner in charge of Adult Programming at Chastain Park.Keynon is a 1992 graduate of Mars Hill College, where he earned a degree in Communications and English. Keynon has Head Tennis Professional experience (Dunwoody C.C. and Atlanta C.C.) as well as being a staff professional at Capital City C.C. 

He is USPTA certified and has been teaching juniors for over 15 years. Keynon help leads the team at Dekalb and Chastain Park Tennis Center.

 

Cindy Kemp Battle - Chattanooga, TN Cindy is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she played #1 singles and was a top 10 nationally ranked junior. She competed in the US Open and was recently inducted into the Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame. While in Chattanooga, Cindy was the director of many tournaments including the professional Virginia Slims event. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to UTA.

 

Ross Beall - A native of both Atlanta and Universal Tennis Academy, Ross has been with UTA for more than 7 years serving staff positions and administrative roles at both Chattahoochee Plantation Tennis Club and Chastain Tennis Center. 

Ross is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. While at Oglethorpe, Ross helped lead four of the most successful tennis campaigns in program history. Serving as captain his junior and senior year, Ross played #1 doubles and #2 singles helping to lead a Stormy Petrel squad to their first top-4 conference finish in 17 years. During his senior year, Ross achieved the highest regional doubles ranking in school history by finishing #7 in the Atlantic South. Ross was named to the SCAC’s All-Academic team all four years and was recognized by the conference for his leadership abilities inside and outside the classroom. In his spare time, Ross serves as the volunteer assistant coach for the men’s tennis team at Oglethorpe University. 

 

Kyle Bowers- Belvedere, SC Kyle is a 2000 graduate from Erskine College. He played singles and doubles all four years where he made the NCAA Division II Nationals twice. Kyle specializes in our 10 and under quick start divisions. He still loves to play competitive tennis in Atlanta as well as enjoys hiking and backpacking.

 

Jim Broome- Winston-Salem, NC Jim grew up playing junior tennis in North Carolina. He attended the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas where he was a member of both the tennis and cross country teams. Jim enjoys working with students of all levels.

 

Vance Exley- Atlanta, Georgia Vance is a native of Georgia who recently moved back from Big Sky, Montana. He grew up being a state and southern ranked junior and competed at the collegiate level as well. He is currently attending Kennesaw State to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education.

 

Emory Harris - Emory  is a graduate of ASU in Albany, Georgia and was born in Macon, Ga. He has been teaching tennis in the Atlanta and the surrounding area since 1995.  He is PTR certified and has coached several ALTA teams to the city finals.

 

Amanda McDowell -  is a 2010 graduate of Georgia Tech, where she earned a degree in International Affairs and played on the Women's Tennis Team.  Her collegiate accomplishments include a 2007 Team National Championship, as well the 2008 Individual National Championship.  After college, Amanda competed on the pro tour and reached a career high ranking of 400 in the world.  Amanda grew up training at UTA and is thrilled to able to work as a coach at the place that was such a pivotal part of her junior tennis career.

 

 Vu Nguyen  Vu Nguyen attended the University of Georgia and received his degree in Sports and Exercise Science. He is P-1 certified through the USTPTA and certified by USPTR. His previous employment includes being the Head Pro and Director of Tennis at Petersburg Racquet Club in Augusta, GA from 2006-2010. While in Augusta he was a certified national trainer for 10 and Under tennis. He joined UTA in January of 2011 and oversees the 10 and Under Program. While at UTA he has served as a national coach for Regional and National Training Centers for 10 and Under and 12 and Under. Vu is also a part of the Georgia Junior Competition Committee.


Doug Perrin- Atlanta, Georgia  Doug is a former top 5 junior player in Georgia and top 50 player in the country. He went to school at DePaul University where he played a top 6 position. Doug began training at UTA when he was 8 years old and is looking forward to passing on his knowledge to the next generation of players coming through the program.

 

Casey Ragsdale- Jackson, MS Casey is a 2007 graduate of Birmingham Southern where she competed on the women's team for all four years. She was named to the Big South's All conference team. She was one of the top junior players to come out of Mississippi.

 

Autumn Richards Sisk - Autumn is 34 years old from Cartersville, GA.  Autumn played Jr Tennis in Georgia (ranked #2 in GA, #10 South, #60 USTA).  Also played 4 years varsity tennis at Georgia Tech (captain of team 3 years)

Upon Graduating held record for most singles and doubles wins in GT Women's Tennis History.

Taylor Stewart - Rainbow City, AL is a  graduate of Samford University where he earned a liberal arts degree while majoring in religion.  He is currently finishing his master's degree in theology from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. Taylor was a top ranked junior player in Alabama, but chose to play basketball and baseball in college.  For the past five years Taylor has served as a Chaplain/Character Coach to coaches and athletes on the campuses of Auburn University and The Georgia Institute of Technology.  He has over 10 years of tennis teaching experience and loves helping all ages and ability levels grow as tennis players and enjoy the sport for life.

 

Chris Webb- Chris attained a top 4 state, sectional, and national ranking as a junior in Georgia.  He earned a tennis scholarship to Georgia Southern University and graduated with a Sport Management/General Business degree in 1995. He has been teaching tennis for 16 years in the Atlanta and Charleston, SC area.  Among the clubs he has worked, Chris has been the Director of Tennis at Seven Oaks in Duluth for 4 years, and a staff pro at Capitol City Club.
