Chattahoochee Foundation
Texas Hold Em 2011 Thanks for making the event a Huge Success!!! CHEECH WINS, CHEECH WINS !!!!
Dear Friends and Family,
The Chattahoochee Foundation was established in 1999 to give promising young tennis players the opportunity to reach their potential. Over the years we've extended our reach to include The Boys and Girls Club, DreaMakers Youth Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes & Universal Tennis Academy (UTA). Through generous donations and numerous fundraising events, we have had the opportunity to open doors for kids in need throughout Atlanta.
The foundation's primary mission in 2011 has been to support the efforts in creating programming for inner city children at Washington Park and McGhee Tennis Centers. Both facilities are located in downtown Atlanta where opportunities for kids to play are tough to find. With UTA's help, we are attempting to create a safe environment where kids can play year round.
These facilities now have a highly qualified staff in place to coach children of all ages. We have a modest fitness room to support the health and wellness component of training. And we have a computer room set up to help students with their studies when they're not on the court. But we still have a ways to go!
With 2012 just around the corner we hope to continue our efforts at Washington Park and McGhee Tennis Centers. We hope to continue our support with The Ron Clark Academy, YMCA, Camp Best Friends along with a program involving the children of Washington Park.
The Chattahoochee Foundation would also like to expand its efforts in 2012 to assist children from the Atlanta area who do not have the resources to reach their potential. This would include grants for private lessons, drills, travel and equipment.
Please let us know if you are interested in supporting The Chattahoochee Foundation with either your time or resources; we'd love to get you involved.
Sincerely,
David Drew, Tim Noonan & David Stolle
