Hard work is one of the keys to success as a tennis player. So, we all work hard. Underneath the hard work at Universal Tennis Academy is a positive feeling of accomplishment and success with a bit of fun thrown in. Drills, match play and challenge ladders support player growth both on and off the court.
From working hard together, we build a sense of community that extends into events such as the end of year banquet, the Chattahoochee Foundation (click on for more info), fundraisers and tournaments (where UTA players support each other, win or lose).
The UTA community also often turns into extended family with players coming back to train and give back through coaching during their college years. We are also proud to say that we are beginning to see a second generation of UTA players as former players are starting to send their kids to UTA to learn their tennis fundamentals.
Founded in 2009, UTM took its teaching expertise and combined it with a comprehensive management team. UTM's six partners have over 100 years of tennis experience, from playing professional tennis to Directors of some of the country's top public and private clubs.
UTM currently manages five City of Atlanta sites, Bitsy Grant Tennis Center, Chastain Park Tennis Center, Sharon Lester Tennis Center at Piedmont Park, Washington Park Tennis Center, and McGhee Tennis Center. In 2011 we teamed up with Dekalb County to manage its two main facilities, Blackburn Tennis Center and DeKalb Tennis Center. Effective October 1, 2014, UTA began management of James Creek Tennis Center. The state of the art indoor and outdoor facility will be a perfect location to continue the UTA commitment to providing players of all ages and skill levels with world-‐class instruction.
With 90 plus Hard Courts, 17 Clay Courts, and now 4 Indoor courts located inside and outside the perimeter, we truly have Atlanta covered! Visit a UTM facility today. We know you'll come back!
