About UTA
UTM Mission Statement
Universal Tennis Management exists to promote the growth of tennis with Adults and Junior’s in and around the City of Atlanta. We promote tennis through our world-class instruction, comprehensive programming, quality customer service, and extensive knowledge of club management and operations. We are committed to instilling a positive impact on the community through ethical business practices, outreach activities, mentoring programs, and charitable endeavors.
Life at UTA
Hard work is one of the keys to success as a tennis player. So, we all work hard. Underneath the hard work at UTA is a positive feeling of accomplishment and success with a bit of fun thrown in. Drills, match play and challenge ladders support player growth both on and off the court.
From working hard together, we build a sense of community that extends into events such as the end of year banquet, the Chattahoochee Foundation - click on for more info, fundraisers and tournaments (where UTA players support each other, win or lose).
The UTA community also often turns into extended family with players coming back to train and give back through coaching during their college years. We are also proud to say that we are beginning to see a second generation of UTA players as former players are starting to send their kids to UTA to learn their tennis fundamentals.
Universal Tennis Academy
Founded in 1995, UTA has always had the highest standards for developing tennis players. Today, UTA at Chattahoochee Plantation has over 300 athletes in training and has trained six professionals and over 130 collegiate players.
Today in addition to the original site at Chattahoochee Plantation, UTA now manages five additional City of Atlanta sites, and two Dekalb Co. sites bringing outstanding tennis programming to all of Atlanta.
